SOFIA, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Bulgarian government on Sunday declared national mourning on Monday for victims of Saturday's train explosion that killed at least seven people and injured 29 others.
The national flag will fly at half mast over all government buildings, the cabinet said on its website.
Meanwhile, the situation in the northeast Bulgarian of village of Hitrino where the train carrying gas derailed and exploded remains very serious, the Ministry of Interior said Sunday.
The authorities have evacuated all residents of the village, and a state of emergency has been declared there.
An investigation into the cause of the incident is under way.
