DUBAI, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese golfer Feng Shanshan said on Wednesday that she loves to be an inspiration to young and talented Chinese aspirants.

Speaking on the sidelines of this year's tournament, the 27-year-old Feng hoped to defend her title she won in 2015. She was also victorious in 2012 and 2014, making her the most successful female player of all times at the Dubai Masters.

Feng, who won the bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, said she considered here first two days not as on the top of form "so I hope to improve throughout the tournament."

Feng hoped her career path will motivate more Chinese players. "The options and conditions to learn the game are much better today in China. I am ready to provide any help to young talented girls who want to kick off a career in this great sport," said Feng.

Her ambitions did not stop in Rio. "I really plan to play at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo," she added.

Feng needs to win the Dubai event to overtake 35-year-old American Beth Allen to enter the Order of Merit money list, as well as to earnings this season.

This year's tournament was overshadowed on Wednesday during round one by the death (heart attack) of a caddie who was carrying the bag of Anne-Lise Caudal from France.

The final round will take place on Saturday afternoon.
