WARSAW, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- The perception of immigrants as potential terrorists is a stereotype that should be overcome, head of Poland's National Security Bureau Pawel Soloch said Wednesday.
"I would like to strongly warn against the automatically, thoughtlessly connecting organized crime or terrorism with immigrants," Soloch said at an international security conference in Warsaw.
He also stressed that this type of stereotype should be overcome, both by politicians and by all institutions that are responsible for these matters.
The conference brought together members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of European Union institutions as well as experts from European countries, including Poland, Hungary, Italy and the Czech Republic.
