SINGAPORE, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Minister of State for the Ministry of Communications and Information Chee Hong Tat officially launched the Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF) and ScreenSingapore 2016, Asia's premier entertainment content market and conference on Wednesday.

The ATF and Screen Singapore 2016 with the theme "Content on every screen" will take place in Singapore from Tuesday to Friday as part of the Singapore Media Festival (SMF).

Not only China, Indochina and Southeast Asia are the spotlight of this year Market Focus, the event also brings together over 5,000 industry professionals in the TV, film and digital entertainment content industry to exchange insights and acquire knowledge while securing opportunities to buy, sell, finance, distribute and co-produce.

"Coupled with abundant networking and partnership possibilities taking place over the four days, we are thrilled to play a significant role in advancing Asia's content industry," said Yeow Hui Leng, senior project director at ATF and ScreenSingapore, Reed Exhibitions.

The ATF and ScreenSingapore features a few important events this year.

On the first day of the event, C-suites from Asia and beyond have provided valuable analysis and insight into the digital realm in the C-Level Summit which focuses on "Managing the Business of Disruptors."

In addition, ATF and all3media International will introduce the first-ever ATF Formats Pitch to connect producers and their in-development unscripted formats with commissioners, investors, and co-production partners.

Also, the digital corridor, Transmedia Producers Workshops and VR Transmedia Showcase in the newly introduced Digital@ATF are expected to better immerse attendees in the world of virtual reality.

The event marks the 17th edition of ATF and the sixth edition of ScreenSingapore.
