CAIRO, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Egypt arrested on Tuesday 25 people over forming an international network for trading human organs, the country's Administrative Control Authority (ACA) said in a statement.

"The network consists of Egyptians and Arabs who make use of difficult economic conditions of some Egyptian citizens to buy their human organs and sell for large amounts of money," the ACA statement revealed.

The authority pointed out that 25 of the accused have been arrested so far, including university professors, doctors, medics and brokers, and the authority seized millions of U.S. dollars and Egyptian pounds, gold accessories as well as relevant documents in their possession.

"Ten medical clinics and labs have been searched and the prosecutor-general has ordered immediate probe into the case," said the statement.
