COLOMBO, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Sri Lankan government would introduce new legislation for the acceleration of approvals for all types of investments, a minister said on Friday.
Highways and Higher Education Minister Lakshman Kiriella said the government was targeting foreign direct investments (FDI) for the development of the economy.
The Sri Lankan government has paid attention for high powered committees in place for approval of investments.
It has assigned the legal Draftsman's Department to work out the proposed Investment (Special Provisions) Bill. Enditem
