WARSAW, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- "If it were to help, my return to active politics in Poland can always be considered," European Council President and former Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk said Thursday during an interview with Polish broadcaster TVN24.
Asked if he might return to Polish politics, Tusk pointed out that as long as he headed the European Council, there was no such possibility.
Regarding his job as European Council president, Tusk said it made sense for him to stay on for a second term only if at least a very clear majority wanted it.
Tusk also warned that the role of individuals should not be overestimated, which has been proved authentic by history.
Tusk has been heading the European Council since 2014. Tusk's first term ends in May 2017.
