ANKARA, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Eleven students and one dormitory worker were killed and 22 others injured on Tuesday in a school building fire in southeastern Turkish province of Adana, NTV News reported.
The fire broke out in a high school dormitory building where 31 girls were living in Aladag district of Adana.
Some of the students jumped out from windows to escape the fire, the report said.
A large number of fire fighters and ambulance were dispatched, and the injured, caused by flame, smoke, and escaping through windows, were sent to local hospitals.
Adana Governor Mahmut Demirtas said the three-storey building had been evacuated as fire crews battled with blazes.
The cause of the fire was yet to confirm.
