BEIJING, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- On the fourth anniversary of the Chinese Dream, a concept that was proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2012 calling for the "great renewal of the Chinese nation," its peaceful nature that advocates all-win results is more apparent than ever to the global community.

A prosperous and stable China is conducive to the prosperity and lasting peace of the world. As the world's largest exporter and magnet of foreign investment, China, which is also the second-largest economy on the planet, serves as an important engine for the development of the world's economy and a ballast of global peace and stability.

Consequently, its rejuvenation would offer the international community a more robust and reliable engine, injecting new and lasting impetus into the stagnant world economy.

Between 1990 and 2011, China lifted 439 million people out of poverty, making not only a significant difference in the life of the Chinese people, but also significant contributions to global peace and development. Inspiring the world with its development path, China has helped the international community by sharing its experience in poverty alleviation.

Moreover, the realization of the Chinese Dream also means the country will create and share more development opportunities with other countries.

From the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road to the establishment of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), China is welcoming passengers around the world to board its train of development and share growth opportunities.

Just as President Xi said, the Chinese Dream is a dream of peace, development, cooperation and mutual benefit for all. It is similar to the beautiful dreams of the people in other countries. The Chinese Dream will not only benefit the Chinese people, but also people around the world.

Besides the economic field, the Chinese Dream benefits the Earth in that it will also change the global governance landscape, which was shaped by Western countries over the past two centuries during industrialization.

Marked by inequality between developed and developing countries, the current global governance landscape is haunted by a cold war mentality and zero-sum games. Without an appetite for hegemony, China is dedicated to establishing a new global landscape featuring win-win results, common development and equality through the realization of its dream.

As a responsible player, China is promoting the right approach to the balance of benefits and justice in international relations, and always puts righteousness before individual interests for a better world.

In 2014, in marking the 50th anniversary of China-France diplomatic ties, Xi compared China to an awakened lion, a "peaceful, pleasant and civilized" creature which has no intention to harm anyone and will never pose a threat.
