PRAGUE, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka said Monday the government approved to provide 20 million crowns (about 0.8 million U.S. dollars) to Bulgaria to help it on border protecting and 10 million crowns to Jordan to cope with the migrant wave from Syria.

In Bulgaria, the Czech money will cover the purchase of equipment and cars for the border police and the building of a police facility at the Serbian border. A part of the money will go to the reconstruction of the hotspot in Harmanli.

The Jordanian government will use the money from Czech to tackle the migrant wave from Syria and integration of the Syrians staying in Jordanian territory for a long time.

The Czech government has sent 40 million crowns to Jordan for the reconstruction of the Azraq refugee camp in the country this year.

Last year, the Czech government approved an aid program for refugees and countries under a strong migrant pressure.

Within this program, the Czech government has sent financial aids to Balkan and Middle East countries. In 2016, the Czech government has set 150 million crowns for this purpose, 92.5 million of which have been sent so far. (1 U.S. dollar = 25 crowns)
