ISLAMABAD, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistani paramilitary troops Frontier Corps (FC) have gunned down two militants and arrested two others in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan Province, officials said Monday.
FC spokesperson said that the troops launched a search operation by acting on an intelligence tip-off regarding presence of suspected militants in Dera Bugti district of Balochistan.
During the raid at one of the hideouts, the militants opened fire at the troops, triggering off an exchange of fire in which two militants were gunned down.
The spokesperson added that the forces have also destroyed five hideouts of suspected militants and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
In a separate operation in Sibi area of the province, the FC recovered 10 kg of explosives, rocket launchers, homemade bombs, suicide vests and rifles.
