JAKARTA, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Joko Widodo along with hundred of growers on Monday planted 238,000 trees in Tuban district of East Java province, a moving aiming at preserving nature and reduce carbon emissions.
All the trees were planted within one hour, making the biggest amount of threes to be grown in one hour, a cabinet secretary website said.
That breaks the world's record of 228,000 threes planted within the period, which was held by the Philippines.
A total of 5,500 farmers joined President Widodo in the campaign to plant trees.
