BERLIN, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 70 percent of German people think of cancer as the most worrying disease, according to survey results published on Wednesday by a German market research firm.
DAK-Gesundheit, a German national health insurance company, has commissioned the survey from Germany's Forsa Institute.
Some 69 percent of participants consider malignant tumor as the most fearful among other diseases, followed by Alzheimer with 50 percent, stroke with 47 percent and serious injuries caused by accidents with 43 percent.
Adults aged 30 to 44 are more worried about cancer than other age groups. Among participants who chose Alzheimer, three quarters made the choice because it is so far incurable and leads to dependence on nursing from others.
