PRAGUE, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Record high temperatures for Nov. 22 were measured at 19 meteorological stations in the northeast of the Czech Republic on Tuesday.
The warmest temperature was recorded in Karvina with 18.2 degrees Celsius, said Martin Tomas from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMU).
The record of high temperature were rewrote in 19 meteorological stations from the 143 stations measuring the temperature for at least 30 years in the country.
Apart from Karvina, the unusually warm temperature were recorded in Silesian Ostrava, where it is 17.9 degrees Celsius.
While people enjoyed the warm weather in the northeast, it was much cooler in the west Czech, low temperatures prevailed, especially in regions where low clouds remained all the day. For example, in Marianske Lazne and Central Bohemia, the highest temperature was 7.5 degrees, and in Pilsen region, the temperature was 8 degree.
High temperatures have already recorded by dozens of meteorological stations in the Czech Republic on Monday.
