BRUSSELS, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- The Belgian residence permit of key terror suspect Salah Abdeslam, who bears French nationality, has been withdrawn, Belgian Secretary of State for Migration Theo Francken announced on Tuesday on Twitter.
The permit was canceled on the basis of Abdeslam having been out of the country for too long.
The law stipulates that any non-Belgian resident must live at the address at which he is domiciled, according to Francken's Facebook account.
Salah Abdeslam is believed to be the sole surviving suspect of the Paris terrorist attacks on Nov. 13, 2015. He was arrested on March 18, 2016 in Brussels and then handed over to authorities in France on the April 27 after being extradited from Belgium and refusing to cooperate with the courts.
