Vietnam to hold first-ever int'l expo on hardware, hand tools

HANOI, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- The first-ever International Exhibition on Hardware and Hand Tools (Vietnam Hardware and Hand Tools 2016) is expected to open in Vietnam on Nov. 30, the organizer said on Tuesday.

The first event in the field so far will draw participation of 152 companies from 17 countries and regions including Austria, China, France, India, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam among others.

Numerous big brands in hardware and hand tools will be present at the exhibition such as Bosch, Elora, Onishi, Bawa Tools, Kynko, Hazet and Matador, said Nguyen Khac Luan, general director of Vietnam's National Trade Fair and Advertising Joint Stock Company, told a press conference in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Do-It-Yourself tools and hardware for construction to be displayed at the exhibition will focus on four main sectors of Fasteners, Securities, Locks and Fittings.

According to Luan, Vietnam's supporting industries have become developed and play an important role in participating in global supply chain as well as value chain.

"The exhibition will be an effective trading channel to help buyers to seek business opportunities with sellers, have direct approach to new technologies and products as well as give exhibitors an overview of Vietnam's hardware and hand tools market," said Luan.

The event, which will last till Dec. 3, is expected to attract over 5,000 specialized visitors.
