NAY PYI TAW, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's parliament resumed its third sessions in Nay Pyi Taw Wednesday after one-month adjournment, parliament sources said.

The House of Representatives (Lower House), in additional to discussing the supplementary state budget for 2016-17 fiscal year, will touch upon 11 bills for adoption, Speaker of the House U Win Myint told the parliament.

More than 100 questions have been collected for the government to answer at the parliament sessions, he added.

Meanwhile, the Union Election Commission has announced holding by-election on April 1 next year to fill 19 vacant parliamentary seats left by some representatives who have become government leaders and cabinet ministers.

The second sessions of the two Houses ended on Oct. 7.

The current parliament was formed through the general election in November last year.
