Direct Flight connects Hangzhou, Sydney

HANGZHOU, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- China Eastern Airlines on Tuesday added an air route from Hangzhou to Sydney, Australia, the city's first direct flight to Oceania.

An Airbus 330 will depart from Hangzhou at 11:40 p.m. (Beijing Time) every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and arrive in Sydney at 1:30 p.m. local time. The return flight will depart from Sydney at 10:15 p.m. local time every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and arrive in Hangzhou at 6:00 a.m. (Beijing Time) the next day.

Hangzhou International Airport is now connected to 39 international destinations in 20 countries and regions.

Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province, is a top tourist destination in China. The local government aims to attract 4.35 million foreign visitors a year by 2020, with 4 billion U.S. dollars in tourism revenue. The city received a publicity boost this September by hosting the G20 Hangzhou summit.
