ATHENS, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- Greece's armed anarchist group "Conspiracy of Cells of Fire" threatened on Friday with new attacks to "spoil the party" ahead of outgoing U.S. President Barack Obama's visit to Athens next week.

In two proclamations posted on an anarchist website the group urges for "dynamic action", which includes protests and attacks against politicians, judges, entrepreneurs, journalists and police, Greek news agency AMNA reported.

The warning came a day after a grenade attack was carried out against the French Embassy in Athens which is located opposite to the parliament.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack which caused the light injury of a police guard.

The last attack the "Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire" assumed responsibility for was a bomb attack outside the home of a public prosecutor in central Athens in October.

The group has also claimed responsibility for a series of attacks which mostly caused material damage and light injuries, including a failed parcel bomb campaign that targeted European politicians in 2010.

For security reasons, the speech the American leader was scheduled to deliver on Pnyx hill opposite the Acropolis on Nov. 16 will be given in an indoor venue, according to Greek police sources.

Obama is set to arrive in Athens on Nov. 15 for a visit which is part of his last tour to Europe as U.S. President.
