VIENTIANE, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- The first International Lao ICT Expo will be held in capital Vientiane on Dec. 14-18, Lao state-run news agency KPL reported Thursday.
This will be the biggest exhibition of the year displaying technology and telecommunication equipment, and exchanging the information and experiences in the development of the information and communications technology (ICT) sector, KPL quoted Lao Minister of Post and Telecommunications Thansamay Kommasith as saying.
The Expo is expected to draw more than 120 exhibitors of telecommunications operators, ICT, and accessory vendors including high-speed internet, smartphones, computers, notebooks and ICT materials.
During the Expo, there will be a concert performed by Lao, Thai and international singers, a Lao ICT super vote model, an ICT expert competition, among other activities.
