SINGAPORE, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Singapore River Festival 2016 kicked off on Friday night with a variety of performances and activities along the river.
A tightrope has been extended across Singapore River for the opening act for the first time. Crossings, a original production inspired and conceived by the story of Singapore River itself, was jointly presented by French acrobatic theater production Underclouds Cie, and local entertainment producer Muse Inc.
The opening act blended tightrope acrobatics, dazzling choreography, music effects and multimedia projections, exploring the extraordinary theme of connections in daily lives.
On Saturday, the second night of the festival, visitors can enjoy multi-sensory acrobatic acts at the Riverfront Carnival and witness the headline performance by Underclouds Cie at Clarke Quay.
They can also taste the flavor of a street festival on Circular Road programmed by creative non-profit Hyphen, featuring live bands across different genres. Enditem
