Three killed, 25 injured as two trains collide in Pakistan's Karachi

ISLAMABAD, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- At least three people were killed and 25 others injured when two passenger trains collided with each other in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Thursday morning, local media reported.

According to local Urdu TV Channel ARY News, the incident took place when a passenger train Farid Express collided with another passenger train Zakria Express near the Qadafi Town area of Karachi.

Police and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to the Jinnah Hospital of the city.

According to the reports, death toll may further rise as several injured are reportedly in critical condition at the hospital, while a number of passengers are still trapped inside the damaged coaches of the train.
