MACAO, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- The gaming revenue of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) in October grew 8.8 percent on yearly basis to 21.8 billion patacas (about 2.7 billion U.S. dollars), posing a rise for three months straight, according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau on Tuesday.

Analysts said that Macao's gaming industry showed signs of stabilization after a two-year slide.

Macao's gaming sector recorded about 184.6 billion patacas (about 22.7 billion U.S. dollars) for the past 10 months, down 5.8 percent, according to the official data.

Leong Vai Tac, secretary of economy and finance said that he is confident that the gaming revenue for the whole year will reach the target of 200 billion patacas (about 24.5 billion U.S. dollars), noting that his department will cautiously monitor the possible fluctuations of the industry.
