Bamba wins fourth stage of Faso cycling

OUAGADOUGOU, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Cote d'Ivoire's Karamoko Bamba on Monday won the fourth stage of the 29th edition of Faso International cycling race that kicked off last Friday in the capital Ouagadougou.

Bamba completed the 136km stage Kombissiri-Tiebele in 3 hours 25 minutes and 15 seconds at an average speed of 39.75 km per hour.

The 1334km-long Faso International cycling race comprises ten stages and is scheduled to end on November 6.

Kwiatkowski Grzegorz from France has the yellow jersey in possession after the first stage Ouagadougou-Koupela that he completed in second position behind Mathias Sorgho from Burkina Faso.

Salomon Zemenfes from Eritrea won Bousse-Ouahigouya (130km) and Gourcy-Ziniare (169km), the second and the third stages of the competition.

A total of 90 riders from 13 countries took the start on Friday. Enditem
