BAKU, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- China's Shenyang Normal University and Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) signed here on Friday an agreement on cooperation of student exchange.
The two sides pledged to encourage interaction between Chinese and Azerbaijani students, deepen cooperation through various exchange and scholarship projects and Chinese language teaching.
Acting Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages, Dunyamin Yunusov, thanked the Shenyang Normal University for implementation of a year-long education program for 10 AUL students in Shenyang.
In order to promote the mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in various fields between China and other countries, the Chinese government has carried out a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and conduct research in Chinese universities.
In 2014, the Azerbaijani and Chinese education ministries signed a bilateral cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, the Chinese ministry announced a scholarship program for Azerbaijani students for 2014-2015 academic year.
