JAKARTA, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's largest private bank, Bank Central Asia (BCA), registered a net profit growth of 13.2 percent in the third quarter year-on-year, a bank's executive said on Wednesday.

"Amid moderate economy growth and business activity slowdown, BCA ended the first nine months this year with healthy operation revenue," BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja said.

Jahja said the bank also saw its asset swell up to 660.145 trillion rupiah (about 50.7 billion U.S. dollars), or 13 percent higher than in the third quarter last year.

The bank received increasing deposit up to 493.1 trillion rupiah (about 37.9 billion U.S. dollars) during the first nine months this year, or 6.7 percent higher than that of the same period last year, Jahja said.

The bank, however, booked an increasing Non-Performed Loan (NPL) ratio of 1.5 percent from 0.7 percent recorded in the third quarter last year. The maximum NPL ratio in national banking business was set at 5 percent.
