Singapore PM to visit Thailand to pay respects to late king

SINGAPORE, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will visit Bangkok on Thursday to pay his respects to late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, said the Prime Minister's Office.

The office said Lee will also meet Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to express his condolences on the passing of King Bhumibol.

Lee will be accompanied by his wife Ho Ching as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the two-day visit, it added.

Thai King Bhumibol passed away at the age of 88 on Oct. 13.
