BEIRUT, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's General Security Directorate said Thursday that it arrested eight Syrian nationals suspected of planning suicide attacks inside Lebanon.
The arrest came after a period of close surveillance over the suspects, the intelligence agency said in a press statement.
All the suspects have confessed that they were planning to carry out suicide attacks against cafes, restaurants and United Nations peace troops in Lebanon, according to the statement.
