Named after Chinese director Jia Zhangke's film Mountains May Depart, or Shan He Gu Ren, a noodle restaurant owned by the famed filmmaker has now become a must-visit destination for Jia's fans.

Located in Jia's hometown of Fenyang, north China's Shanxi Province, the noodle restaurant is themed on the award-winning film released in Chinese mainland in October 2015.

On entry you are greeted by 9 trophies of the film, including one from the 63th film festival De San Sebastian.

Decorations of posters, stage photos of the film, books on the director's works as well as postcards can be seen everywhere.

The only noodle served in the restaurant is "dao bo mian, " or sliced noodle. It is Jia's favorite and specialty in his hometown. The noodle with two dumplings, a cold dish and a soup sells at $8.6 per set.

When talking about Mountains May Depart, Jia said that he has always wanted to make a movie about affections and time. "The film tells a story that has lasted 26 years. It's full of affections, and it takes us to a journey of time. "
