BEIJING, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- China's anti-graft authority on Monday released the findings of inspections on five institutions, calling for improved leadership and official promotion.
The five institutions, including the Communist Party of China committee of the Ministry of Public Security, were of 32 state and party organs to undergo an inspection over the past three months.
According to a latest statement issued by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), problems such as weak Party leadership and irregular appointment and promotion of officials were common across all five organs.
The inspectors also accepted tip-offs regarding leaders and officials who had breached the Party code of conduct, it said.
The inspections began in late June and lasted for two months at each of the 32 organs, which also included the National People's Congress, China's top legislature; and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the top political advisory body.
Despite the progress achieved to clean up the CPC, some organs continued to flout frugality rules, such as issuing unauthorized subsidies, traveling on public funds, using public cars for personal purposes, and extravagance and wasteful activities, according to the CCDI.
The CCDI ordered the organs to correct any problems and ensure the strict governing of the Party.
