GUANGZHOU, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Two people were injured in a fire that broke out at a warehouse holding combustible materials in in south China's Guangzhou Saturday.
The victims were employees of a logistics center in Baiyun District, where the warehouse was located. One sustained burns while escaping the scene. Both are in stable conditions, sources with the local government of Baiyun District said.
The fire was reported at around 11 a.m. and spread across 1,600 square meters of the warehouse, which contained cosmetics, paint and auto spares, the city's fire prevention bureau said in a statement.
Fourteen teams of firemen were despatched to the scene. The fire was contained at around 2 p.m.
The investigation continues.
