JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and four others injured as a suicide attacker targeted a military vehicle in eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province on Saturday, a police official said.

The incident took place in provincial capital Jalalabad, located 120 km east of Kabul.

"A terrorist with explosive device tied in his body blew himself up next to an Afghan military vehicle today afternoon, killing himself and injuring four others, all passersby," the official told Xinhua but declined to be identified.

Meantime, an eyewitness who refused to be named told Xinhua that a bride and groom are also among those injured in the attack.

Officials have yet to make comment on the subject. This is the second suicide attack in Afghanistan on Saturday.

In the previous suicide bombing which occurred in Qalat city, capital of the southern Zabul province, two people including the attacker were killed and three civilians were injured.

JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and four others injured as a suicide attacker targeted a military vehicle in eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province on Saturday, a police official said.

The incident took place in provincial capital Jalalabad, located 120 km east of Kabul.

"A terrorist with explosive device tied in his body blew himself up next to an Afghan military vehicle today afternoon, killing himself and injuring four others, all passersby," the official told Xinhua but declined to be identified.
