RIYADH, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- A man was killed and two others wounded on Friday when a cross-border shelling from Yemen hit the southern Saudi city of Jazan, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The attack occurred at 7 a.m. local time, leaving a Yemeni man dead and his daughter and another person injured in the Saudi border town of Al-Tuwal, Saudi civil defence spokesman Major Yahya Al-Qahtani told SPA.
It is the latest in a series of attacks launched by the Houthi group from Yemen, with most of them intercepted by Saudi military forces.
Saudi Arabia has been leading a war against the Houthis in Yemen since March 2015 in support of the country's elected government.
