BEIJING, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- A 5.9-magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan region at 11:51 p.m. Thursday Beijing Time, according to the measurement by the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at the sea area around Taitung County at 22.60 degrees north latitude and 121.38 degrees east longitude. Enditem
