China beat Singapore 4-1 in warmup for AFC U-22 championship qualifiers

HOHHOT, China, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- China defeated Singapore 4-1 here on Tuesday in a warmup match for the AFC U-22 championship qualifiers.

Chinese player Gui Hong broke the deadlock through a penalty kick in the seventh minute, and his teamate Wang Jingbin scored with a header in the 35th.

Three minutes later, Singapore's Mohammad Faizal bin Roslan slipped with the ball, only to pass it to China's Cheng Jin and helped him strike for another goal.

Liang Xueming sealed the victory for China on 72 minutes, while Mohammad Shafeeq S/O Faruk scored one goal for Singapore eight minutes later.

"We won the game but we should pay attention to the mistakes that we made during the match," said China U-22 team coach Chen Yang.

Singapore U-22 team coach Richard Francis Emile Tardy said he was not satisfied with his team's performance due to some players' unprofessinal attitude and mistakes.
