TOKYO, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Multiple passengers traveling on the Seibu Shinjuku Line at Tokyo's Takadanobaba Station complained of sore throats and coughing after smelling something they described as similar to paint thinner, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department said Wednesday.
As many as nine people so far have reported feeling ill this evening and police and the fire department officials are currently on the scene carrying out investigations, public broadcaster NHK reported.
