Vietnam to host ASEAN Broker Conference and Networking in October

HANOI, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- The third ASEAN Broker Conference and Networking event will be held in Vietnam's capital Hanoi on Oct. 6-10, said the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the organizer, on Tuesday.

The event is expected to draw participation of 28 securities companies in ASEAN, 42 local companies and 133 delegates. Meanwhile, as many as 71 pairs of companies have registered for bilateral meetings to discuss cooperation at the event.

The ASEAN Broker Conference and Networking event, an initiative on collaboration among trading floors in the region, is organized alternately among the bloc's country members. The event aims to share experience and boost business and investment cooperation, said the HNX.

First held in Thailand in 2011 with 62 securities companies participating in last year's edition in Indonesia's Bali, the event drew participation of 116 companies.

ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
