PARIS, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- French President Francois Hollande on Monday said the war against terrorism entails further efforts to mobilize all the resources to preserve security in his country.
"Terrorism has declared a war against us... a war which has left many victims. The state's response can not be the same," Hollande told a gathering at the Invalides paying tribute to the victims of terrorist attacks.
"We must ensure that the action taken is sustained and here I am talking about all the measures taken to foresee attacks, deter them and stop them. It's a constant fight and will need still more resources than what I have called for," he added.
Government officials, opposition leaders and family members of the victims attended the commemoration ceremony during which the names of 230 people killed in attacks since Sept. 19, 2015, in particular on Nov. 13 in Paris and on July 14 in Nice, were read.
Since the November 2015 attacks, France has raised the country's alert level and tightened security by deploying more security personnel across the country.
