YINCHUAN, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- The local legislature of northwest China's Ningxia elected Xian Hui as chairwoman of the autonomous region on Monday.
Xian, an ethnic Hui born in 1958, is a native of Dingxi, Gansu Province.
In July, she was appointed as the region's acting chairwoman by the local legislature.
