NANCHANG, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Three workers missing after a bridge collapsed in east China's Jiangxi Province have been identified, though the search for their whereabouts continues.

The missing, Guo Weifeng, 38; Yan Chunqi, 50; and Zeng Zhaoqin, 41, are all natives of Jiangxi, the Taihe county government said.

Guo and Yan work for Jiangxi Rongda Blasting New Technology Development, which is responsible for dismantling the bridge. Zeng works for Nanchang Dismantling.

The collapse at 9:17 a.m. on Sunday, above the Ganjiang River in Taihe County, left five workers injured. They are receiving medical treatment.

At the time of the collapse, Chen Debo, who suffered slight injuries, was driving an excavator to clear the area, while two other workers were checking the bridge floor.

"I heard someone cry out on the intercom, 'danger, move away,'" Chen said. He jumped out of the vehicle and ran, falling down before he could reach the end of the bridge.

The 828-meter bridge was built in the early 1990s. An inspection in December 2012 concluded that the bridge was in need of repair. Workers had been dismantling the bridge since August this year.

More than 500 rescuers are looking for the missing workers.

A taskforce is investigating the cause of the accident.
