PHNOM PENH, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen's visit to Nanning in southwestern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has brought closer relations between the two countries, a Cambodian senior official said on Monday.

"The prime minister's visit to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China ended with a fruitful result, which contributes further to enhancing relations between Cambodia and China in economics, trade, investment, tourism, and people-to-people," Kao Kim Hourn, minister attached to the prime minister, told reporters at Phnom Penh International Airport upon Hun Sen's return from Nanning.

"The visit has further strengthened and expanded ties and cooperation between Cambodia and China," he said, expressing his belief that, through the visit, more Chinese investors and tourists would come to Cambodia.

According to the official, Hun Sen had been in Nanning on Sept. 10-12 and attended the opening ceremony of the 13th ASEAN-China Expo.

On the sidelines of the expo, he also met with Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli, and Li Jin'ge, president of Huawei Asia Pacific, as well as Wang Zhenghua, chairman of China budget carrier Spring Airlines.

Besides, Hun Sen opened the 1st Cambodia-China Trade and Investment Forum, which was participated by more than 400 Chinese and Cambodian business executives, said Kao.
