RIYADH, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia intercepted a missile from Yemen that targeted its southwest border city of Khamis Mushait early Monday, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
No damage or casualties were reported in the incident, which happened at 3:45 am local time (1245 GMT), SPA said.
A Saudi-led Arab military coalition has been fighting Shiite Houthi rebels in Yemen since March 2015, trying to restore the internationally recognized government of President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
International efforts and talks between the war parties have been so far fruitless.
The attack on Monday has been one of several recent strikes by the Houthis from Yemen, most of which were intercepted by Saudi military forces.
