BRATISLAVA, Sept.9 (Xinhua) -- EU ministers of economy and financial affairs will hold an informal meeting in Bratislava on Friday and Saturday, focusing on migration, the fallout from Brexit, deeper integration, tackling tax evasions and other topics.

Slovak Finance Minister Peter Kazimir will be the host of the event. The ministers will start off talking about the future of EU economic policies, current issues linked to the migration crisis, security challenges, and the impact of Brexit on EU economies.

"The aim is to learn from the past mistakes and to design such tools that would help us avoid or soften potential future crises," said Kazimir on Friday.

"We'll also take a look on the so-called smart integration within the eurozone," explained Kazimir, adding that ministers should discuss the deepening of the economic and monetary union as well.

The goal is to devise responsible fiscal and structural policies at the national level and to create a fiscal mechanism for absorbing macroeconomic shocks at the EU level.

Ministers will continue their debate on Saturday, focusing mainly on tax issues, aiming to find the right balance between the effective fight against tax evasion, fraud and criminality, including financing of terrorism, and the need to ensure stable and predictable tax environment.
