HANOI, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- A coach overturned on an interprovincial expressway in Hanoi on Tuesday, killing two passengers and injuring nine others.
The 29-seat coach was traveling from the northern province of Ninh Binh to the capital city, when it suddenly overturned on Phap Van-Cau Gie expressway in Thuong Tin district, said Vietnam's Traffic Police Department.
The accident happened in heavy rains.
In the first eight months of this year, 13,612 traffic accidents happened in Vietnam, killing 5,728 people, severely injuring 3,751, and lightly hurting 8,030.
It posted respective year-on-year declines of 6.9 percent, 1.6 percent, 1.9 percent and 14.7 percent, said the department.
