BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Cooperation among media organizations of the BRICS countries enables the voices of emerging economies to be better heard, He Ping, editor-in-chief of the Xinhua News Agency, said Friday.
The BRICS countries include the world's major emerging economies -- Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
Their media cooperation can also help build a more just international media order, according to He.
He told visiting head of the Ruptly news agency Xenia Fedorova that Xinhua is willing to strengthen cooperation with Russian media organizations to promote mutual understanding and friendship.
Ruptly, a subsidiary of Russia Today (RT), is an international news agency based in Berlin, Germany that provides real-time and archive visual news content to all media.
