DHAKA, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- About 200 passengers and crew were evacuated after a plane they were aboard caught fire just before taking off here on Wednesday.
The Singapore-bound Bangladesh's Regent Airways plane caught fire after a tire blew at Dhaka's Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport.
Abdul Latif, a senior official at the airport, said the accident led to the cancellation of the flight.
No injuries were reported.
The accident occurred at about 11:00 a.m. local time. Shortly after it happened, passengers began posting things on social media.
