HAVANA, Aug.16 (Xinhua) -- Bolivian President Evo Morales arrived here Monday and met the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, as part of celebrations for Castro's 90th birthday.
President Morales posted two messages with some images on his Twitter account. Morales described Castro as being as "lucid as ever."
As one of the images shows, Castro and Morales watched the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro together and witnessed how Cuban wrestler Mijain Lopez won his third Olympic gold medal.
"The visit of Morales is another example of the excellent state of relations between the peoples and governments of Cuba and Bolivia," said Granma, the official newspaper of the Cuban Communist Party.
Last Saturday, Aug. 13, the day of Castro's 90th birthday, the Bolivian president congratulated Castro "wholeheartedly" on Twitter and praised his "enviable and unattainable life."
