ATHENS, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Three people died and four were injured while six are missing after a collision between a small tour boat and a speedboat near the Greek island of Aegina in the Saronic Gulf on Tuesday, the Greek coastguard announced.
An 8-meter-long speedboat rammed into the tour boat and turned it over. Among the casualties were the captain of the tour boat, a two-year-old child and a man who has not yet been identified.
All injured and rescued passengers were transferred to the Health Center of Aegina. The tour boat was transferring passengers from Perdika village in the southwest of Aegina to a beach on a near islet Moni for swimming.
Private vessels along with three watercraft of the coast guard rushed to the scene to check for survivors.
The circumstances of the collision were unclear.
The speedboat captain was arrested and was interrogated by Greece's coastguard.
