TEHRAN, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pakistan's southwestern city of Quetta, Tasnim news agency reported.
The Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi expressed condolences to the Pakistani government and its people.
He also called for concerted action by the international community to put an end to such barbaric actions.
At least 70 people were killed and more than 100 others wounded in the suicide bomb attack at a hospital in Quetta on Monday.
The blast happened when a large number of lawyers and journalists were gathering in the civil hospital to collect the body of a local law association chairman, official said.
Security has been tightened following the attack, and a three-day mourning was announced in the province. Enditem
