RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Sukanya Srisurat lifted a total of 240kg in the women's 58kg weightlifting event to win the second gold medal for Thailand at the Rio Olympics here on Monday.
Thailand's first gold at the Rio Olympics also came from weightlifting, as Sopita Tanasan won the women's 48kg category.
Her compatriot Pimsiri Sirikaew grabbed the silver with a total of 232kg and the bronze went to Kuo Hsing-Chun of Chinese Taipei.
